Kernel PSI (Pressure Stall Information)#

PSI - Pressure Stall Information — The Linux Kernel documentation

Memory pressure is the time that tasks are stuck waiting for memory compared to wall clock time. In the following example, at least one task (some) waited 0.29% of its time for memory. That’s quite OK. The full means: all tasks were waiting.

# cat /proc/pressure/memory
some avg10=0.29 avg60=0.24 avg300=0.39 total=112279410059
full avg10=0.21 avg60=0.15 avg300=0.19 total=64617951764

The Prometheus rate(node_pressure_memory_waiting_seconds_total[5m]) gives stalled seconds per second of wall time, so 0.25 means 25%.
