Pairing

1. allow pairing for MQTT bridge (“Permit Join”)

2. set device to pairing mode (usually long-press the power button)

3. go to zigbee2mqtt frontend

4. set device’s “friendly name” (python identifier syntax, e.g. hue_switch_3) and check “Update Home Assistant entity ID”

5. check HASS for the entity

6. Disable Pairing for MQTT Bridge (“Permit Join”)
